This three-storey townhouse in Sunset residence is the ideal place to enjoy Tarifa at 360 degrees; at just 5 min walk from the beach of Los Lances, near the Mercadona and shopping area, a spacious patio for relaxing moments and a large community pool to top it off.

Perfect for a family holiday, but also for workations. There is fast and stable fibre Internet and a comfortable table on the ground floor to be able to work quietly and without distractions.

“The day starts with a good breakfast in the patio. The sun is already beginning to heat up and the children, still with their mouths full, rush towards the pool.

The forecast for this afternoon is a thermal “poniente” of 18 knots, so after having another coffee, I start rinsing the wetsuit. It still has the salt from yesterday, when we surfed for a while at Los Lances beach. The session ended with a few beers at the “Carbones” beach bar and we stayed there for dinner. We returned home at night with the girl sleeping in my arms. Lucky that the house is only 5 minutes away.

Once I have the kitesurfing equipment ready for this afternoon, my wife and I go to the beach to take a dip. There is no wind and the morning is spectacular. The children prefer the pool where they have fun with their new friends. Lucky that my little sister and my brother-in-law have come for a few days. I joke that they owe me one for giving them the best room in the house (with the balcony) and that this morning we will leave the children under their responsibility :-). They are perfectly fine with that. They stayed longer at the beach bar last night and need some recovery time ;-).

The beach is even better than expected today. The sea is like a swimming pool; there is no wind at all and the colour of the water is Caribbean turquoise, what a treat! We looked so much forward to this and feel we deserve it after a few months of hard work.

Due to the company merger I have been especially busy. And it is true that even during the holidays I will have to attend 1 or 2 video calls with the shareholders, but this will be a quick thing. I'll use the room in the basement where the children sleep. It will be in the morning and they will be in the pool ;-). There is a good table to work on and the internet is fantastic.

While we dry off in the sun, we decide that we will have lunch on the terrace of the house this noon. The children are having such a good time, so why complicate things. With our swimming wear still wet we walk towards the Mercadona Supermarket. What a luxury! I have hardly touched the car since we´re here.

So, lunch brings us prawns, a salad with pineapple and strawberries (my wife's ideas ;-)), a good piece of grilled tuna and a verdejo white wine; it can’t get any better than this. After finishing with an ice cream, my head is more in favour of a nap than a kite session and this time I won't resist. The afternoon is still long :-)

"A coffee?" My wife's voice wakes me up from my sweet dreams. "Let´s go then, an espresso please, I need to wake up." I see that the palm trees by the pool are already moving.

"Sister, it´s time to hit the water!”
